Women’s Liberation: France Takes The Lead

France to consider banning the burqa
Will France Impose a Ban on the Burqa?
Vive le France!
I have long despised the sight of darkly clad phantoms moving throughout the cities and streets of the world; to see it in those places where it is “embraced” as part of the local culture is foul enough; unfortunately, the changes in immigration policies following the end of the Imperialist era, particularly in Europe, have allowed for the export of this barbaric practice to pollute the streets of England, France, Germany, Spain, Holland, Belgium, Greece, Austria, Switzerland, and others. It is not merely the practice of forcing women to don a black sheath in public, leaving only a small space near their eyes, so that they may see, presumably to shop for whatever things their household requires, that angers me so much; it is the justification for this act, and the compliance one finds coming not only from the male elements of the society, but the female as well. In many cases, it is the mother, the grandmother, the sisters and aunts, who are most adamant and most effective in enforcing adherence to this practice.
Ayaan Hirsi Ali is one of the single most effective advocates of Women’s Liberation in the Islamic world, and world as a whole. Her personal story, from her upbringing in Somalia, her education in Saudia Arabia, to her exodus and political career in The Netherlands is fascinatingly devastating to behold. She now resides in the United States, having been forced to flee Holland after a collaborative effort with filmmaker Theo van Gogh, addressing the plight of women under Islam (the film is called Submission) ended horrifically and predictably with van Gogh being murdered in the street by a “crazed” “fundamentalist”, and further threats being levied against her. The thing that struck me most significant in this video is her point about the absolute lack of trust that existed on any level within her Islamic community; no person trusted another, regardless of their relationship. It is precisely this mentality that allows for a person, and women in particular, to embrace a sadistic tradition of genital mutilation, complete economic and political depravity, and social isolation and personal subjugation to the will of the men she deals with on a daily basis. Their situation is subhuman; they are not even treated like pets; instead, their sole purpose in life is enforce and continue the culture, one which is explicitly designed to humiliate them into submission.
Women in the Islamic world are cattle. So long as Islam poisons the minds of a billion plus human beings, then there cannot be anything approaching genuine liberty or civility for any of them. Islam long ago recognized that the key to keeping a populace in willful subjugation is to keep the women in willful submission. France has taken the first great step in resisting this abomination, and I hope that many more nations, particularly ours, will follow suite. Vive le France!
